Had a very nice and entertaining experience tonight and was intrigued by the out of the ordinary menu.
Definitely a worthwhile visit!
Do try the whole menu if you can or just take a platter!

Thank John B

This place is a must. The food is different but tasty. You must try new things. BUT the service is second to none. Fantastic service and great atmosphere. The staff are EXTREMELY knowledgeable and they don't stop. An absolute must.

We have been coming to this restaurant every year we visit South Africa. We now book from the UK to ensure a reservation.
The menu and wine list offers excellent choice and the food is prepared with great flavour attention to detail. Service is slick and professional but unhurried. A great evening spent here with friends.

Thank Graham E

We could say we visit Wilderness for its tiny strip of unplundered ingenious bush. We could say we visit Wilderness for the talcum powder sandy beach and the warm Indian Ocean. The truth is we visit Wilderness just for The Girls – an unpretentious eatery on the forecourt of a petrol station just off the motorway. Once again Roxanne Blum and Cheri Sheridan and their team of well-trained and enthusiastic staff made our visit memorable. I’d booked online and requested a vegan option. Roxanne responded with an encouraging “can do”. Donald followed up telephonically to confirm the table booking. We all had starters – I tried the spicy soup which was served with two slices of hot brown bread – filling and delicious and perfect as a meal on its own. There were two calamari starters and a platter of naked escargots - ( shells conveniently removed ) reminiscent of the seventies and served with a rich buttery garlic sauce. All the starters were utterly delicious. We could have... should have folded up our napkins then and simply sipped our Steenberg ( R30 corkage ) but we chose to sample the main course offerings – a trio of yellow tail and Kabeljou and hake with prawns served with a selection of different sauces. Pour moi a creatively crafted fruit and vegetable platter sprinkled with roasted pine nuts. The men enjoyed two Joseph Barry brandies while we finished off the second bottle of wine. Our bill totalled at R1 200 including a well earned tip for our charming Marcia. A delicious dinner enhanced by good service from staff who engage warmly and attentively with diners and who seem to genuinely care about the food they bring to the tables.
