“Excellent food at the Girls”
Reviewed September 5, 2013 via mobile

I've read the good reviews about the Girls and so was looking forward to the dining experience myself. I wasn't disappointed. Our waiter for the evening was Don, who was and is an excellent host. His manner was warm and friendly, he took us through the menu and really got my Taste buds tingling. I had carpaccio to start with and a trio of steaks for mains finishing off with a malva pudding which was delicious. I couldn't fault the food or the service, there was an extensive wine menu at very reasonable prices and most importantly, they really hit the spot and complimented the meal. It was a family meal, the youngest being my daughter of nine who was well catered for and looked after. She had a beautiful fish with rice, my wife had the prawns and the grandparents had a trio of fish. We ate on a Wednesday evening and it was quite busy, so I would recommend booking your table. If you're in the Wilderness area, you have to go and have this excellent dining experience, it won't cost you an arm and a leg either.

A delightful little restaurant tucked at the back of a filling station. My Cape Mandalay Chicken Curry was excellent.

“Beautiful decor, delicious food”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

Don't be put off by The Girls being right next to the petrol garage! Beautifully decorated in African style, oranges, browns and yellows, you will be warmly welcomed by the staff. Great menu; we had to try their trio of meat, Ostrich, Springbok and Kudu, each with a different sauce. Loved the fact that you could have a taster starter and dessert which covered most of the menu if you were struggling to choose; particularly enjoyed the vodka tomatoes! There is a small area upstairs with gifts and curios and we took the opportunity to browse between main course and dessert! Fabulous food at reasonable prices - thoroughly recommended.
