“Kicked out from pation area -no dogs allowed not even in outsidevarea”
Reviewed April 4, 2012

We were horrified. We had just settled in with our 14 year old dachsie on his blanket underneath the table on the outside patio, when this arrogant waiter, albeit apologetic, told us to leave. No dogs allowed-not even on the outside patio on the way to the entrance of the restaurant.
We are buying a holiday pad in town -this restaurant will never see us again and I will make a point of discouraging people to visit.

“Consitently good food, and the best coffee in Underberg”
Reviewed March 15, 2012

Simple good food. Pizza and pastas are their specialty. Our favorite is the Duma Pizza loaded with artichokes, mushrooms, peppers and chilli. Owner Marc Edmunds, is often around and is always friendly and open to suggestions. They have specials on every week (this week is Chicken & Chips for R35) and every Thursday is 1/2 price pizza and pasta night. Be sure to get there early on a Thursday though as locals pack the place out to take advantage of this special. There may not be good cell phone coverage (except if you stand in the parking lot) but there is internet coverage and lots of travelers take advantage of this while sampling some of their excellent Illy coffee.

“Nice place”
Reviewed March 2, 2012

We popped in here for a bite of lunch and a few drinks. What a great little find. We had pizza but there were loads of other things.

Our pizzas were well made with mountains of fillings.
We would go here again.

“Unexpected bistro in Underberg”
Reviewed February 21, 2012

I've only ever had good food since Marc took over the business. The fillet is most certainly my favorite. Only problem with the place (apart from the little pub that closed down), is the lack of cellphone comms in that area - there's nothing. But if you're on holiday, that should bever deter you
