I was invited to lunch by an old friend, and didnt even know this place existed.
What an awesome find!!!
I started with the cauliflower souffle, a gentle flavoured, light souffle. Very nice.
Next up was the mussels au gratin. This was really fresh and full of flavour.
Wanting more, I tried the mussels hot pot. Mussels served in a light broth with a hint of garlic and chilli. This was the best dish yet. I had to ask for more bread to mop up the broth. Such soft and beautiful flavours.
Finally i had to share a cheesecake, not having room for a full one. A brilliant finish to an exquisite meal.
The table next to me ordered a kind of calzone which looked really great.
(Apparently the chef/owner is Italian !!!)
Have to go back... SOON.
My new fav place to eat in Umhlanga!
