This is Greece in South Africa. The place is washed in white paint. The place has a refreshing but formal vibe.

The staff are very accomodating and has good knowledge on the dishes on Plaka's menu. They are quite helpful and give recommendations. I tried both red meat dishes and seafood and each time I dine, I'm served with mouth-watering mediterranean food. The mezze platter is also very good! My favorites are the prawn and grilled squid (topped with caramelized onions).. definitely must-try!

Your are transported to the Greek isles as you arrive. Great vibe especially on weekend evening. Food is always consistently good with fresh and authentic ingredients. Meze is always excellent although some of the dips tend to look and taste too similar. Prawns were succulent. Service lately has upped a few notches. Wine list is extensive, but alas mark-ups are excessive. R270 for Iona SB against list price of R107.50. Aside from this quibble this should be a five star establishment.

I had a light dinner here with one of my colleagues. The atmosphere and music was delightful. The smell when you walk in was lovely! We sat outside as we smoke, and I guess all smokers are being ostracized nowadays. But all and all a delightful experience.

A great position and vibe overloking Palm Boulevard. The usual Greek fare, but on this lunch occasion, we had just the Mezze. Calamari and livers were delicious, the dips most disappointing. Service was non existent. We requested more of the free toast bread and tapenade, but gave up asking. Avoid the Greek salad, a tasteless chopped up mess. On previous visits we have had the lamb, chicken and prawns and these are excellent choices. Poor selection of wine if you want just a glass of white .Excellent by the bottle.
