it was the middle of winter, but a Durban winters evening. the food was yummo, leaving a raucous bunch of friends quiet for the first 10 minutes. the atmosphere was warm and tables wer packed together, but tables didnt even bother to eavesdrop because the food, the company and the atmosphere kept us quite distracted.

This is a chain restaurant but the food is good. My favorite is the ostrich bruschetta starter and the ravioli. Pizzas are nice and thin crust. It's got a big restaurant feel, compared to the one in Ballito which is smaller and more intimate. They also have TVs in the waiting lounge/bar area for those who like that. Deserts are also good. The creme brulée is very decent but like most places, they can't seem to get the caramel burnt right.
Parking is conveniently located in the back lot. Try not to park on Chartwell lots as they are crowded. Use the lot with the entry on Ocean way, usually more lots.
I usually stay in the Umhlanga Rocks area and this is a usual haunt for me. My only criticism is they serve only bottled water. Filtered water should be on standard offer instead of wastefully using plastic bottles.

One of the best dinner places to eat in the umghlanga area, especially with a big group of friends or family. The menu has quite a variety and the food and service is quite good. I really enjoy the pasta dishes!!
