This is a lovely hotel with well appointed rooms in a beautiful area. The beds are really comfortable and the room was quiet. It had a small verandah and we watched a troupe of monkeys playing in the gardens. The grounds are beautiful-make sure you walk along the jetty as there is a lovely view and 2 covered sunbeds at the end. We did a couple of their safari trips and both were well organised. The lake trip was lovely. We didn't eat the buffet but the a la carte food was good-the pies, which are a speciality, are terrific. The food and beverages manager was always about, which is always a good sign.Overall this the best hotel that we stayed in on our tour of South Africa and I would go back tomorrow!

Our family organized a get-together at Ghost Mountain Inn to celebrate a 60th birthday at the end of January. Our party was made up of 11 adults and three children. We were treated like royalty. Our trip on the inn's double decker boat on the Jozini Dam was an experience of a lifetime. We saw 57 elephants come down to the water to drink. The warden, who took us on a game drive through the Mkuze Game Reserve, was most patient and knowledgeable. He used his Ipad to explain what we'd seen, as we weren't the most experienced of birders. Then, all hail to Paula and her staff. The meals were outstanding. The service could not have been better. Friendliness is the order of the day at Ghost Mountain Inn. To cap it all, the spa treatments are heavenly. This haven comes highly recommended.

We spent 4 nights at Ghost Mountain transitioning 2012 to 2013. The inn and grounds were lovely. The rooms were very well appointed and the food and service were great. The New Years Eve 60's dance party was wonderful fun for all ages. The bar served the best Mojito I have had to date in South Africa. Our game drives and tours were arranged by Jean who was very organized and good fun to be with. We hope to visit again next New Years.

Tranquil, well appointed, friendly service, great cuisine and wonderfully presented.
Ghost Mountain Inn must be one of the best country establishments. The efficient and attentive staff are a true gem. The setting and well managed gardens add to ones relaxation. Steeped with history this inn is a must for couples and families wanting to explore Maputaland or just recharge ones soul.
Will be back.

Had the most amazing stay at Ghost Mountain Inn over the first weekend in January. My mom and I spent the weekend recharging for the new year. Everything about Ghost Mountain was incredible, the setting, the service (can't say enough about it), the staff, the experience...I could go on!

We chose to do the Boat Safari on Lake Jozini and what a good choice it was! We got to watch elephants playing in the water (part of a herd of about 50) for about an hour, the ellies gave us a right show frollicking in the water. There were lots of babies which is always nice to see. We saw lots of hippo to with young 'uns, Water Buck, Reed Buck, Nyala, ostrich and great bird life.

The staff were all amazing but I have to give special mention to Jean and Sibusiso. Jean is a delight with her great sense of humour and incredible wildlife knowledge. Sibusiso was a breath of fresh air as far as service is concerned.

We will definitely be back with the whole family. My only regret...not experiencing the Spa :) but will do that next time.

Pieter and team, keep doing what you do!

Having visited a number of establishments in the Jozini abd Mkuze area, we can truly say that the best value for money, best personal service and excellent food, can be found at the Ghost Mountain Inn. With the leadership of Pieter Botha, you truly feel special as a guest, and nothing is to much trouble for him and the team.

Having also experienced the spa experience at this establishment, we can truly recommend this for any couple.

Keep up the great work Pieter and Ghost Mountain Inn.
