Wildebees Ecolodge

This is a nice place to stay for every age - we were between age 0 - 67 - baby could sleep in the shadow of the trees, children could play in the pool and in the little forrest setting and adults could relax in our own little "house" or by the bar. Friendly staff and nice and clean - unfortunately most of us had problems with bedbugs... The food is nothing special so it is recommended to use the kitchen (a bit run down) for selfcatering. Good location close to shops, gamedrives and even Sodwana Bay for diving. Good value for money thanks to Gisela our well recommended tour organizer: [--] - for any trips in SA!

We had a fantastic time staying at Wildebees Ecolodge this January. The owners, Martijn and Marike, were both extremely friendly and helpful, not to mention great fun, pointing us in the direction of things to do in the area and arranging all our bookings. The bar and dining area were great places to chill out, and the food delicious with great service. The cottages themselves were a delight - spacious, very clean, with very comfy beds and well appointed bathrooms. All in all a great stay, and we would definitely go back.

I have been staying in the bushlodge for several times now, the bushlodge is build in a private nature reserve part of the Greather St Lucia Wetlands Area. Due to the lodge beeing centrally located it's the perfect base to explore the supprounding area (hluhluwe umfolozi park, St Lucia wetlands park, sodwana bay, etc). It's one of the cheapest lodges in this area and this is not affecting the standard or service. Their chalets are comfortable and have all needed facilities. In the chalet you will find a private bathroom with shower, toilet and wash basin. The chalets have 4 beds and a private terras. In the morning when I woke up there was allways some wildlife wondering around the chalets. There is no dangerous wildlife in the reserve so you're able to walk on the property and enjoy nature without having to look over your shoulder every minute. The chalets are build under a magnificent stand of trees, the location is really magical and I would reccommend this bushlodge to everyone !
