My daughter, being a vegetarian found Patel's on the web and we ventured out for lunch. We dined on the bunny chow, made famous by the cafe's long-time proprietor. Bunny chow involves cutting a loaf of bread in thirds or half (depending on your portion size), scooping out the bread in the middle and filling it with a curry laced with beans, peas and lentils. Ab-so-lutely delicious! The location holds no pretense, which underscores its charming authenticity! I will stop in here again on my next trip to Durban for sure!
