“Don't miss this gem of a place.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2013

We walked here from our B&B. Opens at 7:30 in the morning, and has free admission. Lovely, well-kept gardens, with so many trees, plants and birds which we had never seen before. Great place for a family to stretch their legs and be able to run around. Don't miss the "bouncing tree" which is fun for little ones to sit on and bounce. Nice tea garden to sit and enjoy a cold drink and light lunch in the heat of the day. A real family-friendly place. Lots of couples and families enjoying picnics and strolling.

Whether you visit for an enjoyable walk, a concert or a picnic. This place is always a great way to relax.
Beautifully laid out with a spectacular range of flora. Quiet hidden corners. Great for kids, couples and solo walkers. Dogs allowed on leads.

“Old world beauty”

Great for a stroll. Old colonial gardens that are well kept and making headway into new understandings and leanings (displays, etc.). Worth a visit for a special, green experience.

I LOVE THE BOTANICAL GARDENS.... it is lovely and peaceful time spent there, educational too! An interesting little spot, ideal for picnicing with the family, or just for 2... and for the brave souls...1! occassionally you will view at the hall, a lovley wedding! which is a bonus...and best thing ever! is to go, up into the little cafe, where there a ladies, from another era. They serve crumpet, tea and jam....for a cute, charming and no-pretence time... from there old dinner tea cups...and stainless steal crockery!!!! i love it!!!!
