This area is highly influences by the traditions and culture of the native indian people of Durban. Splendid food and most parts of the year the best fruit can be purchased here.

This place is cool if you want hot, fresh sweetcorn with nuts chutney, but its not the same. The place is congested on weekends and its dirty. Nowhere to sit.

This is authentic Durban, if you would like to emerse yourself in the culture and soul of Durban, this is the place to be. The actual parking and seating areas have been upgraded and look great, the eateries are developing again after collapsing. Fast cars, loud music, Braai's, families and Fun. This is Blue Lagoon.

This entire area is being re-developed and is closed to the public. A new promenade and pier are being developed along with other facilities so we look forward to trying out the new facility when building is finished (by the end of 2012?)

Blue Lagoon is not for you if safety, tranquility and a peaceful afternoon are your choice for a venue.
It is dirty, noisy, overcrowded and hoarded with low class people with no respect for the environment. On a Monday morning, the lagoon is littered with bottles, paper and plastic. Don't bother wasting your time at Blue Lagoon, it is sooooo ikky!
