One of Bangkok Wok's advantages is that, although it is situated in Florida Road (Durban's trendiest suburb—if that isn't an oxymoron), you can normally find parking in the vicinity. It's located in a quaint Edwardian-style house, with a lot of tables out front on the veranda and courtyard for alfresco eating.
I don't know how authentically Thai the food is—but they certainly used to have Thai chefs. We eat or buy takeaways there quite often, because the food is good and reasonably priced. The service is reasonably efficient, and the staff are friendly. We usually order a mixed platter has a starter, and the wontons are outstanding. For mains, the noodle bowls are great value for money, as are the green and red curries (neither of which is bitingly hot like Durban Indian curry).
Desserts probably wouldn't make it on any must-have list, but then you are on Florida Road, so you could always walk up to Wakkaberry or somewhere similar and indulge yourself there.
