We were so impressed of the cleanliness of the hotel and friendly staff. A very comfortable room, just what we needed and at an excellent price. If your just popping into Durban for a couple of days this is a wonderful choice.

Room Tip: Pick a room that has an outside facing view towards the ocean however as it can get noisy in the par...

The hotel is a bit run down and has no fridge but is in a great location for the comrades down run. Was a 300 metre walk to the buses to the start and a 500 meter walk back from the finish stadium. It was good value and I would stay there again although the front counter staff were a bit disinterested.

We went to Durban for a friends wedding, Pavilion Hotel was recommended by the brides family who live in Durban. We stayed here for 5 nights, from the moment we checked in we knew we would be treated well. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, always made an effort to ask how we were.

Rooms - had 2 double beds which we comfy and clean, bathroom also had fresh towels supplied everyday, AC worked well, and the also had a safe, hair dryer and phone.

Breakfast was nice, had cereals, eggs of your choice as well as other hot stuff. I asked one of the staff (sorry can't remember her name) if they had hot chocolate which they did and was delicious!! Every morning when we came down for breakfast she would automatically bring me a hot chocolate which I thought was great service.

Hotel is about a 2 minute walk from the beach, for what you pay it's worth it, it's no 5 star hotel but very clean and great location.

Room Tip: Our room faced the back courtyard, which didn't really bother us but if you do want a sea facing...

This hotel feels like it might once have been the centre of attention during a Durban heyday, but now is in desperate need of a make over. Bathrooms and walls are a patchwork of halfhearted maintenance efforts, and reception staff give the impression of efficiency but actually do very little even following voiced issues and complaints.

It was simply awesome and the staff was very helpful and the most best part it was very near to beach and the restaurant’s .

Selected this hotel as the conference was organised here. The check-in process could have been better. The reception staff needs to be more customer friendly and accommodating. The initial room provided was sea facing, unfortunately the AC and telephone did not work, but they provided an alternate room which served the purpose. The rooms are bare bones, not too many frills. You need to ask for an iron which they promptly asked to return back once done with (sounded strange actually). The location of the hotel is wonderful and bang opposite North Beach. It is a small hotel and reasonably priced. The rooms deserve better lighting. I certainly wished the service could be much better, but overall the 4 day stay was good enough. 3.5/5

Room Tip: Chose a sea facing room..

Hi, I had a fortune to visit Durban for a Business conference and I booked Hotel Pavilion through agoda. I was in room # 204. I was shocked to see the location, the clean hotel and comfortable rooms. I was now happy because what I paid was nothing against the services I got. I wish Hotel Pavilion best of luck for this future business. I would visit Durban very soon with my family and will surely prefer this hotel again

Thanks

Yasin
