In uShaka Marine World there is plenty to do and you could easily spend a day there with children. The full ticket entitles you to the 'Wet 'n Wild' water slides, tubes and pool area - it's great fun to float around the whole park in a tube. The dolphin shows are the highlight but there are also seal shows, feeding times for penguins and an amazing aquarium in what looks like a shipwreck. My only criticism is that one cannot take a picnic in, not even a bottle of water, and this makes the day expensive when you have to buy drinks, lunch, icecreams etc., especially with children. The wet 'n wild waterpark gets very crowded in high season.

Every visitor to Durban will find a visit to this entire complex, not just Marine World, as time well spent.
The old ship is unique and a drink at the end of the pier is a delightful way to watch the sun set.
The restaurant within the ship is unique for those who have never had a large shark glide past whilst eating-just the thick glass wall separating you

“Experience of a lifetime”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

uSkaka is named after the Zulu chief who dominated the (then) Natal Coastline and interior for years. It is situated towards the Southern point just before the two entrance piers of the harbour. There is an entertainment water-world that not only children, but adults can enjoy during the daytime. The main attraction to this complex is the aquarium and the Shark tank. The best way to enjoy this feature is to have an evening outing and to dine alongside one of the main windows and watch these graceful animals, just inches from your table. It is advisable to make early booking to avoid disappointment and to secure poll position.

“Excellent aquarium dolphinarium and water based theme park”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

I visited the aquarium section of the park with a tourist friend. The staff were courteous and helpful and the aquarium display atmosphere and diversity of aquatic creatures was excellent.
I have visited often over the years and will definitely visit again.
