My stay at the hotel was very good. I dint like the welcoming. Staff not friendly at all. There was no orientation of the facilities. Arriving at 13h15 my room was not yet ready. I booked two apartments but was far from each other not even same floor. But I really enjoyed my stay.

We were booked in the hotel for our honeymoon. We were first on the boat sailed away from Cape Town to Durban. When we arrived in Durban we went to the hotel the area looked very weird, and unsafe but luckily the hotel was excellent and we felt safe. The view is unbelievable out of our window. We arrived very early, and they kept our language safe until we could book in. The room is very spacious. The breakfast was yummy yummy. Asif we thought we had enough to eat on the boat we were wrong. We ate again so much from a nice juice, fruit, and cereal, to eggs, bacon and waffles!! We went for a nice warm swim in the sea. We walked to uShaka then went on a riksha, as we came back we bought some Durban gifts. We also went to tiny town. What a sweet little place. A must see when you came to Durban. We also went to the casino that is down the road. Thank you for a wonderful stay Bellaire suite. I will recommend it to anyone. If it is for a honeymoon or business trip or just a break away from the very busy everyday life .

Bathroom in Room 802 had a funny smell coming from the pipes but it was sorted by maintenance after a few calls. The bath has a shower shield that complicates access to the bath for older people; toilet also somehow space restricted. One of the lifts was out of order on Sunday and we had to wait quite long.

Apart form this, the room was absolutely wonderful with a beautiful sea view; wonderful air con; and comfortable beds. The room and hotel passages were all immaculately clean.

The breakfast was out of this world... what a excellent manager Angel is; always going the extra mile for good service. Let me not forget the efficient breakfast waiters, all very friendly, wonderfully helpful. Thanks especiailly to Thandeka, for her beautiful smile and friendly assistance.

Room Tip: Upper rooms are nice

Friendly front desk staff, spacious room, good location and view for the money.
The wall is thin and the bathroom door is in awkward position.
If you just want to have a reasonable place to sleep and enjoy everything else outside the room, it's not a bad place to be.

The reception area is very welcoming and the breakfast very satisfactory. The restaurant downstairs has a good vibe too. Enjoyed the hotel with family, price very reasonable.could have done with more channels on TV, the passages are a tad bit stuffy but not terrible. The staff is friendly overall, especially in the breakfast area. Certain staff at reception could do with a smile.

Not good value for local travellers. The breakfast on the first day gets a 5 out of 10 rating, the second day the piece of hair that came out of my omelette was nauseating and I did not even attempt any further breakfast thereafter. The reception area is horrid, the desk is unwelcoming and the staff are unfriendly. Rooms are marketed as "suites" with a mini kitchenette, however no crockery or cutlery is available should one need to use the microwave. I will not pay R100 deposit for an iron in a *4 star establishment. The establishment requires a class make-over!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review.

I am very disappointed to learn of your unsatisfactory experience during your stay. Friendliness and approachability are two core attributes of any reception staff member. I have taken your comment on board and will share your feelings with my Front Office Team.

With regards to the buffet breakfast, quite a number of our guests rate our buffet breakfast as excellent and every effort is made to ensure quality and consistency of this product.

Please note that we provide Crockery and Cutlery to rooms on request.
