Good breakfast but very dirty and noisy hotel rooms and common areas.
Management and staff is very unfriendly and not customer centric!! During 12+hrs there was no water in the building and the staff didnt offer help or proposed a compensation. Very disappointing

Went for the Afcon quarter final and stayed at Belair. Rooms great and clean. Brilliant views. Everything you need and very affordable. Walking distance from everything. Very nice breakfast in their small elegant garden. Great staff. Will definetly go back there

Room Tip: I would make sure i get sea view

We booked to spend the first two nights of our honeymoon before boarding a cruise. We arrived to the warmest welcome ever and ushered to our room overlooking the ocean. Rose petals strewn all over the the room and in a heart shape on the bed - a gorgeous bunch of red roses in a vase, chocolates everywhere - sparkling wine on ice - breathtakingly romantic to say the least. Thank you Matsita Potlaki for these special touches. Duty manager Peter Lichkus especially organised a private dining area on the first night and went out of his way to ensure that we were waited on like royalty. Food was outstanding - atmosphere superb. A very comfortable stay attended to by courteous and highly attentive staff. Besides the detail - outstanding value for money.

Good reception on arrival, nice comfortable and clean rooms on first sight, good variety and well prepared breakfast. Location is also good. Would have been much more appreciated if a porter was offered.
The one issue that I had a problem with, is that the linen in the second room was soiled on both twin beds on our arrival and we only noticed this when my son went to sleep on the bed.

Room Tip: Choose any room, they are all well positioned.

The website represents it well - the rooms are bigger than they look, smart, clean, modern and not fussy. Its a 4-star hotel, and that is reflected in the amenities - which are very acceptable but not top of the line. Service was consistently friendly and acceptable, generally efficient, although restaurant service a little inconsistent. Bookings were extended with no fuss, taxis booked as arranged, manager and restaurant manager passed on little tips to make my stay more comfortable - all appreciated. Breakfast buffet was good and plentiful, and Cafe Jiran served very decent lunches and dinners. Used Booking.com to book at cheaper rate than I could get directly at the front counter, which seemed odd, but ended up being great value. had to pay extra for wireless internet connection, which I dislike - and very odd that you should have to pay to use their one wired internet "cafe" machine too. Great view of the surf, could check out the best breaks from my window and then stroll 100m to the water. Altogether a very pleasant stay and I'd recommend it

Room Tip: Higher floors get better views over the dune vegetation to the sea

Superb location with great views over the beachfront. Rooms are fresh and modern - spacious, with a small kitchenette and sitting area. Our only issue with the room was a blocked bath drain that was attended to twice during our stay but never properly fixed. I see this has appeared on previous reviews so it seems to be an ongoing problem.

Staff were friendly and helpful at check in even when we needed to make changes to our already complex reservation (thanks Peter). Breakfasts were always good quality although the dining room was a little cramped when the hotel was full and rain had renoved the courtyard seating. The leaks in the dining room roof didn't help either. Jose, the catering manager, was attentive and helpful, but sometimes the staff seemed a little overwhelmed and struggled to keep on top of things.

Cafe Jiran (which is on the premises) offers excellent coffee, light meals and full dining options (and, I think, is responsible for providing all the breakfast catering for Belaire). It offers a great place to meet up with friends, chill with a good book and a coffee, or have an excellent meal.

After one of THE worst check-in experiences ever we got to our room which was sorely in need to updating. The first room we were given was already occupied and so we walked in on a couple of women doing their nails. The next room did not have an oceanview, as I had specifically reserved, so it was back down to the front desk. Then after we got into a tired old room that was sort of dirty, the bellman came by to swap out the cabinet where the room safe is. After they had wrestled this entire cabinet into our room I pointed out to them that the safe in that cabinet didn't work either - so they had to do it all over again!

The view was good and the location of this hotel was very good. Since you're at the north end of the Promenade it is worth renting bikes to explore the area. Excellent Indian food just short stroll down the street. We thought the breakfast served at the Belaire was really one of the best, lots of fresh fruit, a couple juices and a good variety of cereals with eggs cooked to order and several meats served.

Not to much down at this end of town.

Room Tip: Make sure you're getting a view room. Two rooms on each floor will have almost zero view.
