The room was in need of upgrading. The curtains were very old and not completely hung. The room was not set up to be functional. The room had also been sprayed heavily with air fresheners to cover up odors. The lobby was very shabby and smelled musty. The walls were very thin. The upstairs neighbor was very noisy.

Unfortunate reservation. Walked in tired. Had I not been driving all day, I would have left. However, from past experiences in Kingman, nothing much better out there. The carpet hasn't been cleaned in years. The front desk receptionist watching "walking dead" on the tv, images scared a little one in tow. Ridiculous shower, filthy. Bed was OK and we were up at dawn and gone. The breakfast was not for consumption, just show. So, I will not stay in Kingman again, as this seems to be the standard fare for that area. Will stay in Flagstaff from now on.

In a very few words the place is definately starting to show the signs of age both inside and out.The towels are getting quite worn .On a positive side lots of parking for whatever you are travelling with. If you are a lite sleeper the train track is very close and there seems to be a lot of trains going back and forth.Because of the trains I left at 3.30 am not much sleep.

Nothing really exceptional. Like the headline says, it's a place to lay your head.

Room was clean, but the carpets needed to be changed, at least at the doorway, but you usually change it all at that point.

We stayed there on March 17 after a big hike, so we were pretty tired. It was on the same side of the road we were driving on at the moment we chose, so not the most stringent selection criteria. There is lots of selection along Andy Devine Drive, but this place was fair value for what we needed. We did see places later that were advertising for a few dollars less, though, and probably would have been fine for what we needed.

There was a very basic "breakfast", just coffee and muffins, and were told we could also go next door and have waffles at the Days Inn if we wanted, as both hotels were owned by both hotels. We had some muffins and then went off to McDonald's as we just wanted a quick breakfast wIth some meat. I also wanted to use the WiFi, as my phone wasn't connecting to the 8's WiFi.

Overall I would say the stay was adequate, but if I had time to research and book ahead, I probably would have been fine paying $20 more to stay at a better place with working WiFi.

This motel is on the original Route 66 and some of the fixtures might be original. We stayed in a room set aside for pets and were not surprised that the room was a little tired. The room was clean, the carpeting needed to be replaced. The staff were VERY helpful and friendly.
