This is a great inexpensive way to experience what it was like to be on Route 66 traveling. There is so much history to this highway and it's fun to see the pictures, see the memorabilia, and watch the movie about the Arizona stretch of the road. Do you know what "This is it" is? You can learn it here. And by paying the admission for this museum you get to visit 2 others for the same price. If you're a railfan, the railroad runs right outside the building with plenty of traffic and there is a rail museum just down the street that was not open when we visited. But this museum is a must see along with going out and taking a drive on Route 66 over to Oatman and back. It's worth the time and a lot of fun!

A $3 donation allows you to visit 3 museums. Visit the history of the area and see lots of items from the past. There was a free movie of the history of Route 66 which gave us insight into making plans for the upcoming week.

On Route 66 trip. Detailed information on the history of Route 66 especially during the Dust Bowl era. Would recommend. Plan on an extra hour if you want to see the movie.

For a couple of dollars this is definitely worth the visit with a great video lasting an hour but looking back at he route through Arizona which we had just completed. Well almost.

It only cost $6 for the two of us (senior rate), and not only does this include this museum, it also includes entry to the Mojave Museum of History & Arts, and the Bonelli House.....that's an amazing bargain for such a small amount. Unfortunately, this was the tail end of our trip before heading home, and we had just enough energy left to only visit the Route 66 Museum. However, being that we live in Vegas, it's less than a two hour drive to Kingman, so we'll return at some point in the not-too-distant future and make a day trip out of it by also visiting the other two sites as well.

The museum itself was fun and fact-filled, with lots of displays and historical artifacts. There is also a one hour film on the old Route 66 and how it impacted the various towns in Arizona during the heyday of this historic road. Highly recommended and we will return to visit those other venues.

Very good information about the "Okies" and other folks that left home during the dustbowl. That trip was no picnic.
Well worth the trip from Laughlin

We visited the Historic Route 66 Museum and bought two senior tickets $3 each. This also allowed us to visit the Mohave Museum and Bonelli House. Note though that they take cash only for the entry ticket. Great value. Lots of interesting exhibits at the Route 66 Museum, we enjoyed it. Well worth a visit when in Kingman.

Lots of dioramas and displays to help teach those of us on our first journey on the Mother Road. Took lots of photos and as I look back, they all played out on my trip East.

The museum tells the true stories about different part of Route 66. The whole exhibition has been set up deliberately. The electric cars collection was amazing.
