This is the street with the Mandela House Museum and also the residence of Desmond Tutu. In the last few years, it has undergone a major facelift. There is a brand new restaurant called "Nexdoor", modern, lovely menu and delicious coffees. Walk out onto the sidewalk and be greeted by warm friendly people selling clothing and curious. This street also is the street that bore testament to the 1976 Student Uprising and just a few metres up the road on the corner of the Orlando West High School is the plaque showing where the little boy called Hector Pietersen was shot in the back by police during the riots. Safe Parking with car attendants and a must to visit is Nelson Mandela's house where you are taken on a guided tour.

A touristy place where Nelson Mandela lived for only 2 nights. It is just a tourist attraction for which an entrance fee is charged.

the best thing about this street is it's close proximity to Mandela's house and the family home of Desmond Tutu. Everything else has an artificial Soweto cultural feel. It's where non-locals go to attempt to get Soweto culture without actually really going to Soweto.

A must see for all tourists, walk up and down the street, stop for lunch or a drink at many of the establishments there , and see Mandela and Tutu's houses

On this street is the present home of Desmond Tutu and the former home of Nelson Mandela, which can be visited. This is the only street in the world where two Nobel Peace Prize winners.lived.
