I was nearly put off about some of the reviews and parking . So glad we went in our rental car. using a gps - we were guided right to the door , a young man pointed out a parking spot one door down on the footpath - we paid 20 Rand and off we went - I was certainly not intimidated as others have said on TA or felt like protection . Its a small price for goodness sake there are people everywhere , we shopped a bit and the house is just inspiring !! GO early to beat the crowds

I visited the house 15 years ago. At that time it was presented just as it was when Winnie lived her with her children. The front garden/yard was still intact, the entrance was through the frontdoor, the rooms were still furnished as befor etc. The special atmosphære still there. It is gone to day, unfortunately.

the house is very small and full of loads of stuff, we had a great volunteer guide, we must move forward but also learn from the past, this museum helps

It was great to see the home where Nelson Mandela once lived. The home was very small and crowded but well worth the visit
