Beautifully maintained property with excellent service (including security personnel at times), and generous buffet breakfast. Nice location adjacent to the Nelson Mandela Square mall and restaurants.

Stayed here one night on our recent trip. This a beautiful hotel, the staff are were very helpful checking us in hours before official check-in time and setting up a Soweto tour at very short notice. We had dinner at the hotel's main restaurant - it was lovely inside and the food and service were both excellent. The breakfast the next morning was also fab. The hotel is a 10 minute or so walk from the Sandton Gautrain station and right on Mandela square.

What a wonderful hotel and pleasant manner in which staff deal with guests. My stay was short and although I encountered small issues regarding internet and laundry they were always dealt with quickly and in a friendly way. Breakfast was amazing with huge variety but quite full, I suppose the hotel was full. My room was spacious on 4th floor with a small lounge area as well. I hope to be back soon.

This was my first night in South Africa. Tired after the long flight from Sydney, the warm welcome and speedy check-in were very welcome. I was given a great briefing on the facilities and hours of opening, then shown to my room promptly. It was large, beautifully appointed, and with good wifi at no marginal cost. Dinner was very good, with lots of local food on offer - springbok carpaccio, kingclip - and the assistance with selection of food, and the wine to accompany it, was cheerful and plentiful.

It is located in Nelson Mandela Square, in Sandton City, which is a beautiful part of Johannesburg.

We would have liked to stay longer.

I stayed here recently for two nights. The hotel probably has the best location in Sandton. It is right next to the Guatang train station (13 minutes to the airport and 17 to Pretoria), adjacent to Sandton City (excellent shopping mall), and on top of Sandton Square (which has lots of great restaurants.) The staff at the hotel are fantastic and the breakfast is unbelievable. However, the actual property is becoming dated. Certain conveniences that business travelers expect are below market. For example, there is only one plug, located about a foot from the desk, that can be used to charge notebooks, phones, etc. There are not available plugs by the bed. The internet was up-and-down for most of my stay making business calls/emails quite difficult. The gym is very small, very hot, very crammed w/equipment and being South Africa is always packed with many people.
