Lovely, warm restaurant, understated decor, and the service is excellent. My wife's butter chicken was too fiery for her and was immediately made milder, no questions asked. My lamb rogan josh was delicious and beautifully spiced. However, and this is the big but... It is pricey. R120 for chicken korma and R150 for the lamb is exorbitant. Especially when that includes no rice. To then charge R30 for rice is extortion. I know it's sandton square, but that's no excuse for the pricing. If you are paying dollars, then it's probably ok. But this business of charging for rice which is integral to an indian meal has to stop. In fairness, this isn't the only restaurant where this practice occurs.
