“Liliesleaf museum is not to be missed.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 18, 2012

The Liliesleaf farm & museum in Rivonia takes you back into a time when the military wing of the ANC was born. The farm was the nerve centre from which the MK leadership planned the struggle for liberation and justice.
Liliesleaf brings to life all the intrigue, the arrests, the corrupt jailers and the prisoner escapes.

Listen to the tales of the ANC members who were arrested. The policemen who arrested them are also on camera. Sit on the truck which smuggled arms into South Africa. Listen to intervews with backpackers who travelled the length of Africa on the back of the truck, blissfully unaware of what was beneath them.
South African 'struggle' history comes alive and you don't want to miss it.

“ANC's secret meeting place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 16, 2012

liked - where the ANC began its existence. Nelson Mandela met here in secret with other harried fugitives from the Apartheid regime, to plan a future for their country.

The best way to enjoy it is to have a guided tour.
