Grayham and Anita are wonderful hosts and run a guesthouse that made our stay in Johannesburg a real pleasure. Very well positioned for the motorway system and Sandton, secure, beautiful garden, pool and lapa, very high quality bedrooms and public areas, spotless; excellent breakfast, and dinner available if you want it Would definitely use again.

As i'm traveling all over the world for business, and used to all kind of hotels.
I always like to travel to S-A, one of the reasons is the perfect accomodations and hospitality at the Oasis guesthouse. Now i have stayed several times in the guesthouse, and it starts to feel like a home away from home if necessary i could stay here for a couple of months without any problem. The rooms and service are always perfect, the garden and guesthouse / interior are really top notch , and you really got the time to relax (or work / internet) after a hard days work.

The five star rating is absolutely deserved - which is amazing for the price. I looked for great accomodation at an affordable price in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg, and found this guesthouse on the net. After pricing a few up-market hotels, this seemed like a good bet. Well, expectations were exceeded on all fronts. Easy access location, warm reception, absolute privacy, beautiful rooms with all the accessories, and two good nights sleep. Stunning shower and bath, and very secure, which suits a single female traveller. Every small touch had been considered, and I spent two relaxing days not leaving the premesis. Thank you to the two great hosts! ps its got a lovely outdoor boma for contained socialising, indoor elegant bar, extensive dvd offering and peaceful outdoor water features.

We stayed our last night after a five week trip through South Africa and it was the best accomodation! You cant believe, that you stay in Joburg . The garden is superb, the rooms and lounge like a museum with original paintings and antiques! There is even not one point, which can be improved! Service is excellent!

We (my fiance and I) discovered the Oasis Guesthouse during a stopover for one night in Johannesburg while in transit to Mozambique. Ever since - we look forward to traveling to Johannesburg just so that we can stay there! Anita makes you feel at home from the moment she welcomes you in until the moment you leave. The rooms are gorgeous and extremely comfortable. The beds are great - I've never had such great sleep outside of my own bed!

Anita will also go out of her way to help you during your stay with anything that you might need - taxis, suggestions for shopping/dining, etc.

You cannot go wrong staying here. From the chocolates on the pillows to the beautiful garden and breakfast - it's all excellent!

Anita & Grayham made you feel welcome from the very outset. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were a decent size and all had free wi-fi. This could also be accessed from the cosy lounge or even outside by the pool.

It is situated 20 minutes from Sandton and about 40 minutes from central Jo'burg, in a leafy, residential area. It has security gates and is away from the main road, so you're assured a decent night's sleep.

Breakfast is plentiful and, while the choice of evening meals (not served on Saturdays) are limited, a choice of restaurants are within easy striking distance. Food can also be ordered in.

Large bathrooms, with shower and bath suite. Fresh fruit left in your room every day.

The Oasis is set in lovely gardens, with a barbecue and outdoor lounge area. Excursions can be arranged, as can airport transfers.

Without talking this place up too much, it really is a great find. Homely and welcoming, Anita and Grayham make you feel part of the family - while also allowing you your privacy.

* There is not a business centre, but wi-fi is readily available and I'm sure the Oasis would allow use of their fax facilities if urgent ...
