Description: The elegant, stylish interior creates a sophisticated, fresh atmosphere at Prosopa Restaurant, situated in the heart of Waterkloof Heights and surrounded by ambassadorial and ministerial residences. Prosopa’s extensive Mediterranean menu is influenced by the flavours of Greece, Portugal and Spain. The signature lamb dish Kleftiko is deboned leg of lamb wrapped in vine leaves & foil stuffed with feta, fresh tomato, herbs and spices and slow roasted in the oven. An option one cannot stay away from is the fantastic array of meze one can have on a platter or individually. The extensive Diners Club Award-winning wine list offers many a gem to be enjoyed beside the fireplace on a cold winter’s night or on the veranda with the curtains blowing in a soft summer breeze.

Ate in the open air side of the restaurant. High quality Greek food was served quickly and in good portions. Pleasant waiting staff. Unfortunately others around were smoking heavily which rather spoiled things for me but that doesn't detract from the fact that it is a good place to eat

Went out for supper with the little wifey. We decided that we felt like a little Greek ( no pun intended). So, as is our habit, we checked online for a nice Greek place. We promptly arrived at the restaurant and were seated. The restaurant decor is lovely. It really is a very nice little place. Service wasn't too bad. We had a starter each - Taramasalata and Tzatziki with pita. R38 for each starter and R20 for each pita. We then both had the salmon, A small portion on mashed potato for R120 each. Mine was undercooked and my wife's was overdone - go figure - however, a similar experience to one of the other reviewers. We finished off with a shared plate of baklava (R38) and two coffees (R20 each) With a glass of wine and some water our total bill came out to just under R600.

The food was pretty average, especially considering the prices. Also be warned that despite the online reviews, the Greek, Spanish, Portuguese side of the menu offers slim pickings (offering Paella makes you neither Spanish nor Portuguese) - the Italian side is plentiful if you needed another pasta restaurant in your repertoire.

Overall, i don't regret the visit, but i wouldn't bother coming back. That was my experience, others may have seen it differently. Caveat Emptor.

Our party had booked early, so we had pretty good service until about 20:00. Thereafter, we had to wait for the waiters to get to us. My feeling was too few waiters.

The food was excellent though.

Not only does this restaurant offer a serene and beautiful atmosphere, it also offers the best wine in Pretoria. The food is exceptional, the waiters, and the chef are attentive and always available when you need them. A special word to all Celiac Disease individuals; the chef will ensure that your food is wheat and gluten free and as tasty as your partner/friends, a rare find. It challenges any five star, fine dining experience in Pretoria, in our opinion. We have travelled extensively and can only eat 5 star quality due to my above condition.
