Harries is famous for their pancakes. From the first Harrie's Pancakes opened in Graskop, on the Panorama Route in Mpumalanga, it was clear that any expansion into other areas, like Cape Town, Pretoria, and Dullstroom, would be a real treat. In the old South African tradition of having pancakes on rainy days and at Church fetes (Kerkbazaars), Harrie's recipe proves to be one of the best. The huge fillings, in the really nicely big pancakes, range from Savoury to Sweet, and you may have it Plain too with the traditional sugar and cinnamon. The coffee or tea is delicious, service is great, and the decor is adorned with interesting local artworks, which coincide with similar interesting modern local artworks, many very useful, from the nextdoor shop.
