“One of South Africa's great experiences”
Reviewed April 11, 2013 via mobile

Chef Chantel Dartnell is without doubt one of South Africa's best chef's. She experiments with taste's and textures and her food is beautifully presented. I have eaten here many times and in my opinion she ranks as one of our top 3 chefs at the moment.

Her food is a craft and if you are ever around for breakfast- brace yourself for brilliance.

“Best eating experience ever!!!”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Restaurant Mosaic last night and all our expectations were met! Yes it was pricey, but every cent spent was worth our while. The food was fantastic and the service very very good, in fact the night was perfect! Wonderful touch from Chef Chantelle to come to our table and explain the menu of the night to us personally. Every singly plate of the 8 course meal was a delight for the eyes and taste buds! What a wonderful experience.

“Wow,wow,wow,wow,wow”

An explosion of tastes, fresh ingredients, great wines (arguably the best cellar in SA),friendly service and an engaging chef make this restaurant one of the best in the country. A must for any foodie!!

Prepare to see and taste an amazing combination of foods. Each dish a masterpiece for the eyes and taste buds to consume.

That Eat Out magazine fails to have this restaurant and chef in the Top 10 is extremely hard to fathom. Having dined at 5 of the purported top 10 restaurants I have yet to find food that is tastier or better prepared than at Mosaic.

If you want to eat food prepared by one of SA's best and most imaginative chefs you will not be disappointed.

Without doubt the food and service are good but not as described by the reviewer.
I really enjoyed the dessert and petit four after our dinner.

“Expectations exceeded!!”
Reviewed March 9, 2013 via mobile

Best of both worlds - amazing place for a very special stay over @ The Orient and the most exquisite food served in the on site Mosaic restaurant. One of the degustations menus, with wine pairing a must. Service was great, the sommelier knows his stuff and just an overall great experience.
