If you want a restful weekend in the bush...this is it. Although the resort did not meet it's five star standard with regards to rooms and food, we felt it was a good four star. The rooms are clean, modern and air conditioned with a large king size bed and huge shower with amazing water pressure. The service was good without being invasive and the food was a real South African treat: a braai of steak and a potjie of lamb...delicious. The rate included our game drives which was great. However the animals are newly introduced and very territorial which can frighten one at times. We saw all the different kinds of buck, elephants, zebra, giraffe and lions. Overall I had a wonderful and relaxing weekend with my hubi. And the drinks were very cheap

Room Tip: Ask to be away from the dining room, it's quieter

LeopardSong is clearly the most luxurious game lodge that we have ever stayed at. Extremely peaceful and tranquil.
The room was a wonderfully cool haven from the bush heat, and is fitted out with all necessary fittings with a few extras like a bar fridge.
As for the service...wow, we felt like royalty. Richard looked after us so intently, ensuring that all our needs were met. The game drives gave us perfect opportunity to take amazing photos od the wide range of wildlife. Pelly, the chef, cooks and prepares scrumptious meals - and portions to fit a king.
Magnificent atmosphere. Awesome birdlife. impeccable service. Highly recommended.

Just read the previous review and I think they must have stayed at a different Reserve! We had a fantastic time at Leopardsong, and found everything to be top notch!
We have travelled extensively in Africa and all over the world, and this little Reserve is a 5* gem. The room was exactly what we expected in the bush! We went for a relaxing break and to soak up the atmosphere and see some wildlife, and we weren't disappointed. Pelly (the cook) served us some great meals, and we loved our evening sessions around the BBQ and under the stars. The service was impeccable - they couldn't do enough.
If we had wanted a luxury hotel, we wouldn't have gone to the bush - we wanted something very African - and this is what we got. We wouldn't hesitate to go back. Thank you John and staff for a great holiday.

My husband and i went to Leopardsong for what we thought was going to be a romantic and luxurious weekend away. I'm not sure who gave this place a 5 star rating, but according to my standards it was more like a 2 star. This place is compltely devoid of romance and luxury. My husband and I could not even have a private dinner together.
The rooms, although clean, were very average and there was not even milk in the frigde.
The vast list of items that are advertised, are not available unless you prebooked and they have to bring in everything at additional charge. So actually, there is nothing to do unless you have preplanned everything. You cant even go and drive around the game farm on your own. You have pay to go on a game drive with the lodge vehicle. That means that you can only go at certain times and you have to go with other guests.
While we were there we discussed the matter with other guests and were not surprised that everyone was feeling the same as us.
Yet, stragely enough, the 5 star logo is advertised everywhere you look! As if by advertising it, it makes it true....?

If you want a holiday of a life time go to Leopardsong. The lodge has excellent quality rooms and the service is exceptional. Nothing is to much to make the holiday what you want it to be. The food is brilliant, caters for everyone. Simple ask for want you want and when you want it. Make sure you ask for BBQs and use the briar - wonderful to sit around in the evening. In its own game park so animals on your door step literally, but in great location to reach other attractions like microlight, sunset cruises and walking with lions.
Can not recommned Leopardsong and all who work there enough. The whole team makes it the most friendly place we have stayed in.
