Excellent views with nature around you, well placed path ways, gift shop and restaurants. A must to attend is one of the famous concerts and also regular art exhibitions.

I'm a tree person and was impressed with the layout of the garden. A vast range of mainly local flora. The range of fynbos is amazing. A lovely view of the table mountains too.
Use the blue bus tour to get here.

I visit this garden every year when I am in Cape Town. I enjoy seeing the garden during different seasons. It is always a new and beautiful sight. As an avid gardener, I enjoy booking a cart with your own personal guide who seems very knowledgeable and has endless patience stopping and starting, going forwards and backwards to observe the plants in question. The surrounding mountains become a spectacular theater in which to enjoy the natural beauty of the plants on display.

Visited on a cloudy day, but liked it a lot due to diversity of local plans, and specially the section that represents different plans that have interesting smells ( some smell like fruits, some like spices, etc). Don't miss it!
