“A little piece of heaven”

Stayed for 3 nights and could not fault this hotel. The room decor was lovely, bathrooms roomy and well equipped, the view stunning. All the staff were amazing and friendly. The gardens are stunning and the tortoises amazing. We ate in the square on the first night and the food was delicious, every breakfast was superb and eating outside in the beautiful surroundings. The Myoga restaurant on our 3rd night was such a treat, the 7 course tasting menu and wine pairing could not be faulted, our waiter Hendrick was superb. The cost of this meal was amazing value. The swimming pool area was quiet and relaxing, very clean and excellent staff. The hotel has such interesting history and all the rooms are decorated beautifully. We came for a long weekend from the uk to relax and enjoy some sunshine and this hotel gave us everything. Although I have come home rather larger on the waistband!. It was very busy with locals always a good sign. I will return for sure and would love to bring my family.

Thank you for the allowing us to spoil you.

The hotel is good value, with the tasting menu in both the Square and Myoga, and then of course meals on the Patio if one wants something more casual.

Looking forward to having you back with your family.

Kind regards

Roy Davies

Vineyard Hotels, Capetown is historical, beautiful and engaging. Food is good, has lot of historic background, spacious rooms and nice ambience. 5km longwalk, gym, everyting we need at leisure. for business meetings it had nice conference rooms and you can mix business+leisure. No disappointment.

Room Tip: Ask for room 349, the corner room got nice view too.

Thank you so much for your comments on you stay with us.

It is pleasing to see our guests making use of all the facilities, enjoying the jogging route, the gym and gardens.

The history is indeed one of our special points of interest. The area has some great historical significance in the early days of Cape Town, in for instance the beer industry. Many of the early micro breweries were founded along the Liesbeek river which runs through our property.

Thank you for the opportunity to share our place in history with you.

Kind regards

I organise international conferences each year at the Vineyard. It is quite simply our favourite hotel in the world. Wonderful food, friendly staff and a stunning location.

So why only a 4-star rating? As I, and my conference delegates, stay at the Vineyard on business, it is important to have reliable WiFi access, and we have never really had this at the hotel. It is slow, sometimes painfully so, and intermittent, and the only thing that the delegates complain of.

And why if I leave my computer for an hour or so do I have to go through the process of logging in again? I am in a small B&B in camp's bay at the moment. The WiFi is fast and reliable, and once logged in, it is for the duration.

Please sort this out Vineyard.

I am pleased that I have also had the opportunity to supply our Wi-Fi replacement schedule under separate mail to you directly. Our supplier of connectivity has been changed and our hardware installation will be complete by the 27th January 2014.

Five of us had a superb lunch here before going to the cricket at Newlands. We ate outside in the magnificent gardens and both the food and service were excellent. We did a mini tour inside and there are some magnificent rooms here. The staff were excellent and very professional and we would definitely go back there.

Room Tip: This hotel was recommended to me by a SA friend in the UK. It didn't disappoint. Some stunning r...

Dear Mike

Thank you for sharing your views on the Vineyard. The Patio is a good choice for lunch before heading to Newlands for cricket or rugby. Pity there is no New Years day test in 2014.

Kind regards

My husband and I recently spent 2 nights at the Vineyard and everything about our stay was wonderful. We were blessed with gorgeous weather, and sitting on the verandah overlooking the beautiful gardens we thought we were in paradise. We found all the staff extremely friendly, helpful and professional. I am sure it is one of Cape Town's best hotels. It is also very conveniently located and the setting is lovely. We will definitely return.

Dear Shelley-Ann

Thank you for your amazing review. I am pleased to see you mention the tortoise, did you know we have eight of them? They are really great when one wants to keep the kids busy, send them to look for all eight.

Wishing you a great summer.

I have stayed at the vineyards once a year for the past 3 years. It is a lovely hotel. The staff are always happy to help and you are always greeted with a smile. I look forward to returning.

The rooms are excellent with comfortable beds and the rooms are very quite. Breakfast is one of the best I have seen. I used the hotel shuttle to the V and A waterfront this trip and found it very easy and affordable.

This time I noticed that the same staff are working at the hotel, I think this is a very good thing, happy staff, usually make for happy customers.
