“Girls weekend out!”

I write this from my garden facing room at the Vineyard Hotel! What an awesome place.I booked this hotel as it was to be the venue for a forthcoming Dental Congress. My 2 daughters are accompanying me and they are most impressed.Fom the check in to te valet parking, the staff in the restaurants and the wonderful coffee at Myoga, this hotel is deservedly 5 star.
the sevice is excellent! The management can be proud of their staff.Every person has a beautiful smile, well mannnered. As a South African, you guys are true ambassadors to our tourist industry.
The food is good, the wines what an amazing viticulture experience.Tonight we are off to The Square and I am certain that we are going to have a wonderful time.
The gym is good, well equiped. The gardens lush and peaceful. The mountains in the backdrop are imposing and seem to shield one from the outside world. There are 2 swimming pools.
Unfortunately the spa was fully booked.Next time around I will book in advance!!!Betterhurry and enter the competition on the hotel's home page.
PS we were upgraded too Thank you!

We spent 5 days at this wonderful Hotel. it has great facilities such as gym, spa and pool plus it has two restaurants onsite. One myoga is exceptionally good but operates seperately from the hotel. Book in advance as it sells out quickly. they have a wonderful 7 course menu for 265 rand. wow.what a splurge. the hotel has nice rooms and beuatiful gardens with views of table mountain. I felt very safe here and the valet parking is an added bonus too. the hotel jhhas nice rooms very clean all with wifi which is a bit slow at times. Also the offer shuttle services to Cavendish mall which is free and shuttles to the Waterfront cost 90 rand one way per person. loved my stay here

Room Tip: just come and relax here. just perfect.

An oasis of calm a short distance and journey away from the centre of Cape Town (except in the rush hour). Lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds with excellent facilities.

The staff were always helpful, friendly and efficient. Breakfast was a real treat but if I had to find a fault it would be with the food served in the bar, but in no way would this prevent me from recommending this as a place to stay.

Stayed at The Vineyard Hotel for 10 days and it was very hard to leave such a wonderful place.
The Hotel itself blends in to the neighbourhood very well and you are greeted as soon as you step out of your car.

The staff were all very nice and informative and always passed with a smile.
The food was delicious and there are many places to relax around the grounds, I could have spent weeks in the seemingly endless array of gardens, the pool area/gym/cafe were all very well maintained and to top it off the view of table mountain was superb.

We stayed in one of the renovated rooms on the ground floor which had a sliding door in to the garden/pond area which was very relaxing and peaceful.

Room Tip: Try to get one of the renovated rooms, we stayed in one of the renovated and one un-renovated, much...

My wife and I have just stayed at the Vineyard for the third time. We thought this was good until we met a couple who were on their 15th stay! This hotel is just superb. The location is somewhat out of the centre of Cape Town but the hotel has its own beautiful gardens with a large swimming pool and spa. The staff are delightful and very helpful. The food and the wine in the various outlets is of a very high standard with portions of South African size! The service may be a little slow at times but it is worth the wait. The rooms are all of a generous size but some of the older rooms are in need of a make-over.

This is our hotel for Cape town and is where we will stay on our next visit. Cannot recommend it too highly.

Room Tip: The mountain view rooms are worth the extra if it is your first stay.

This is one hotel I always wanted to stay at. So when I got the opportunity, I grabbed it with both hands. The hotel has an old world charm with modern conveniences. I was accommodated in the new wing built for the 2010 Soccer World Cup. The room is spacious overlooking the garden.

Gardens are beautiful, setting absolutely awesome.

Public areas are however tired, carpets stained and worn, in desparate need for replacement. Electric cables in abundance and not all expected in a hotel of this stature.

Breakfast is good, although the egg station opens later than breakfast, so if you're here on business or have an early flight to catch, scrambled eggs it will be. (Must say that I did not see too many business people around, more elderly well to do holiday makers.

All in all an enjoyable stay.

This was our first stop in a 2 week stay in South Africa.
Advice: if you are coming from the US, do not fly with United. I will be glad to give more detail about the horrible treatment from them and them causing us to miss our first night in S.A.
Anyway, about the hotel- we had a courtyard garden room with a nice view. There are also rooms that overlook the creek which looked appealing as well from the outside. Some had balconies. The food is wonderful. We chose to eat outside and enjoy the cool nights and the view of table mountain in the distance. The grounds are very attractive with much landscaping and plantings. Trails abound around the creek which is a must to explore. We did not see the vineyard but hopefully we will next time. The breakfast buffet is fantastic. We miss it! We didn't have time to enjoy the pool- (we would have if we didn't miss our first night here-grrrr)
Special moment- the staff were advised of our anniversary date- we came in from touring Capetown and found rose petals all over the room, a present, chocolates and chilled champagne. How wonderful........................we did not know they were going to do this!
I would say that this hotel is wonderful, all the staff are very friendly and we would return!

Room Tip: the larger rooms overlooking the creek may be more private, but the courtyard rooms (we did not have...
