We spent a day walking through the Maboneng Precinct, with its many shops filled with fabulous works of art and artistry. We bought fabulous beaded necklaces and found an excellent book shop! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the people very friendly! We had an delicious lunch at the rooftop restaurant, Living Room. If you visit Johannesburg, do not kiss Maboneng!!

A hip place for the young at heart with multiple things to do and see and a great flavour of Johannesburg in a once delapidated and now thriving part of central Johannesburg

We went to Maboneng, both excited as we have never been there. It seems to be an idea that hasn't taken off as yet. There are some places that are no longer open that they have listed on the maps. It is a great morning outing.

There’s everything in Maboneng. From food, street clothing to Salsa dancing. If you are looking for a taste of African cuisine try Pata Pata restaurant
