“Late Sunday lunch”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 19, 2014 via mobile

My duck breast was good. Served with pasta. My cousin has oxtail with dumpling - awwsome. Unfortunately, the lamb shank was sooo salty my brother had to return it for another meal.

Live music on Sundays completes your day.

“Avoid at all costs!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 22, 2013

We went here for a Sunday morning breakfast. It was a terrible experience!!

The service was incredibly slow and when the food eventually came, it held no resemblence to what was described on the menu. Croissant with scrambled eggs, salmon and rocket was actually scrambled eggs and salmon on crustless dry white sliced bread without any herbs in sight. We waited for more than an hour for what could've been thrown together at home in under 5 minutes. They couldn't even manage orange juice; after waiting for 45 minutes we were told the juicer is broken. Ick ick.

Nice location in a great district of Jozi. Good african food, amazing cocktails, exciting live music and cool people. We really love Pata Pata and we will come back next time.

“An great evening out!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2013

Pata Pata is a relaxed eatery, tucked away on Fox Street right next to POPArts, in the upcoming Maboneng Precinct. The ambience is warm and comfortable with very a friendly staff. They also have live music on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. We went on a Friday and the band was really great. Although it was rather late, the place was nice and lively and they serve food way past 10pm!!

the cocktails as well as their fresh juices are awesome. The food is a mix of African as well as light eats such as wraps and salads.

definitely recommend this place for a casual evening out.
