Web site says cocktails in the bar, barman says not. Champagne offered, but no cassis, peach nectar etc for champagne cocktails. Bar small, nice fellas, but not well trained.
No corkage allowed, restaurant manager argued that restaurants don't allow it these days. We beg to differ in our experience. Attitude not good, could have handled it better. Did allow us to open our wine though, but was keen to point out that he did not charge us (felt like a poke in the eye).
Food okay rather than great. Felt stiff and contrived atmosphere. Seasoning not great.
Freedom the waiter was very good, only thing that saved the evening.
It will probably get better as:
1 they gain experience
2 they get busier
3 they chill out the service a little
4 they change the restaurant manager...yes, it will happen, sorry.
