“Educational and emotional”
Reviewed January 14, 2013

Jo'burg is a great City to eat, drink and shop but there isn't a massive amount of culture...this experience makes up for that as it's informative, cleverly set out and incredibly emotional experience. You can take as long or as little time with the exhibits as you like and there was an excellent Mandela special exhibition on when I visited too.

Whether you're in town on business, pleasure or just need to kill a few hours during an airport layover, this is a great museum explaining the history of South Africa.

You may spend a few hour or the whole day depending on your level of interest. But you must see it first thing in Joburg.

“Had friends from the USA and took them there. What a great Museum and the present Mandela exhibition is very good!”
Reviewed January 14, 2013

A lot of information and done very tastefully. A worthwhile visit for each and every South African. We were pressed for time but one could easily spend a day at the Museum to read all the information on the walls and watch the informative footage.
