Plan to spend a couple hours as there is so much to see, so much to read and so much to contemplate. This museum will definitely leave you thinking.

We spent a few hours at the Apartheid Museum recently and would strongly encourage others to consider it. There's a great deal to see and experience and in our case two hours was not enough time to see it all. The museum provided what we felt was a truthful and unflinching view of apartheid in South Africa, the struggle to end it, and the progress that the country has made since.

Was very one sided and more focused with emforsis on the apartheid section. Gave no credit for whites trying to help or who also suffered during this time.

Not boring, really crowded.
You can find a bunch of images if you don't want to read, or a bunch of articles. Don't bring any kids, this is not a place for kids .

Wonderful exhibits telling you about the Apartheid movement. Did not know that Jewish , and Greek people were active in helping the blacks of South Africa fight for equality., I learned a lot from the news reels. Loved the history of Nelson Mandela, and finding out that his father was a chief of a tribe, and seeing info.on his parents, what he looked like as a child, young man, and as a adult. There is a amusement park, and casino near the museum
