The main experience- being on top of the tallest building in Africa. Has some history on Johannesburg and its pioneers as well as the historical architecture of the building and the behind the scenes engineering. there is a rooftop restaurant. DO NOT VENTURE TO THIS BUILDING ALONE OR WITHOUT A GUIDE, on foot. it is a crime hot spot and you are likely to get lost if you do not know the area or center well. The views are lovely, but the windows need some cleaning. Amazing views, in fact. be weary of who is around you outside the center, the inside is safe and well guarded.

Located in downtown joburg this used to be the city's most exclusive hotel with clients such as Hillary Clinton, Whitney Houston, and Mick Jagger. Today it is a semi abandoned building in poor condition, but hey it's still Africa's tallest building after all.

All the talk of this destination being unsafe is ridiculous. There are guards everywhere and I and my family never felt threatened. We drove into the underground car park and made our way up to the top. It gives a fantastic 360 of the surounding city. I visited here as a teenager in 97 and apart from the viewing deck there was nothing to see as the mall was practily deserted. Now the mall is really bustling and we had a bite to eat and a look around. Local whites say its dangerous but I think what they mean by that is there are lots of blacks. Well yea there are but they are just shopping or eating like we were. This is Africa after all. If people of others colours irrationally frighten you stick to sandton city mall, you will be doing everyone a favour. If not set aside a couple of hours to visit a normal mall with a great view 50 floors above

The view is spectacular but can't figure out why all the windows were soooo dirty. It's watching the city through dirty glasses

Don't go here if you want to feel safe. Yes, it has the highest viewpoint of Johannesburg. So what? You can see Johannesburg from many other safer, and cleaner spots.

It is filthy, in a horrid part of town, and has many unsavory characters hanging around.
