My family try to make an annual "pilgrimage" to the Museum, something we have done since the children were toddlers over 20 years ago. We particularly like the way that the museum seems to add new exhibits each year and, of course it is magnificently well maintained, and has something of interest for all ages. The visit will take a minimum of half a day just to gain an appreciation of the quality and extent of the place. To spend a full day would be preferable but unfortunately the museum is let down very badly by a very poor "refreshment" shop, which prevents one staying more than a few hours.
The "powers that be" who run the museum should visit Liliesleaf in Rivonia and get an idea how it can and should be done. The shop should be transformed into a proper restaurant - perhaps by "franchising" it to a professional restaurateur, which would raise much needed money to help run and maintain the museum
