Enjoyed the items on show, and the history of each. It amazes me that we have progressed so far so quickly!

“Superb, massive collection of everyday transport of past eras”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2012

The museum is a bit out of the way, being situated just south of the decaying central Johannesburg CBD but is a must visit for any motor enthusiast. The museum has a massive display of old cars, trucks, buses, wagons, tractors, trams, trains, etc. Allow several hours for a visit as the museum is sprawled out in a number of vast buildings and there is just so much to see!

“Trains & trams tastic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2012

Great museum, stuffed full of transport throughout the ages. From horse drawn carts, cars, to fire engines and busses and trams. My favourite - the horse drawn bible carriage built in Britain to spread the good word. Not a whizz bang modern museum, but plenty to get my small boys excited. Climbing on and off the tram was thier highlight. Free to get in, closed on Monday's and third weekend every month (and lunch 12-1 I think) .
