“African mayhem, great stadium”
Reviewed October 23, 2013

15 of us went to Soccer city to watch SA vs Argentina. (3 were from the UK). 5 mobile phones and 1 wallet was stolen. Little Sowetans running all over the place , pickpocketing and causing mayhem. How did they afford to purchase tickets for the game....eish never again

“Awesome stadium but ...”
Reviewed October 18, 2013

This facility is just awesome...almost 100.000 seats...one of the biggest stadiums of the world...it`s very new and it`s normally used for concerts or sport matches (football or rugby). the only problem is the roads connection. during a very important event stadium will be sold out and roads to get there will be crowded and they are not built for such a big crowd...you can even be stucked in traffic for several hours to get or leave the stadium like I`ve been for Rihanna`s concert.

“Beautiful but confusing”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

The stadium itself is beautiful with its calabash inspired shape. It is clean and the bathrooms are well kept. However, on the two times that I have visited the stadium I have found it almost impossible to figure out where I was. The numbering (lettering) system is not the best and seems to be inconsistent.

“A world class facility”
Reviewed October 11, 2013

Getting to the stadium and back is relatively easy. Entering and leaving the venue is a breeze. The whole place has been superbly designed.

“Premier Soccer Stadium”
Reviewed September 28, 2013

Incredible structure which hosted the opening and closing of the 2010 Football World Cup, it was then called Soccer City.

I personally worked here as Protocol Liaison for the VIP's and VVIP's attended the soccer tournament spectacular. We took care of all the VIP's suites and made sure all runs smoothly and ensuring a high level of exceptional guest service.

I'm not sure I will ever do any other events other than soccer matches though.

I was last here July 12, 2010 and I pass-by often when in SA
