what a pleasure to be in a country where the meat is so free of disease and contamination that one can be offered a medium-rare hamburger instead of the incinerated offerings that are forced on us in u.k.! the better of the two we had on this visit was undoubtedly at gingko, which specialises in organic foods and fresh juices plus an emphasis on gluten-free. besides a range of cook-to-order light meals, there is an extensive array of hot and cold vegetarian dishes on a help-yourself-weigh-to-pay basis. of the nine tempting cakes on the desert table, only one was not gluten free; our choice of 'chocolate goddess' was full of flavour and well complemented by the sharpness of the accompanying fruit compote. yes, as others have said, service is slow but this is not a fast-food, get-them-in-get-them-out site. you are encouraged to relax and saviour the atmosphere as well as the food.
