This place only seats about 25-30 and is very popular, so advance booking is essential. Not licenced, so bring your own drinks.
We had only had South African dining experiences like this in Cape Town, so were completely bowled over by the imagination of the chefs. Faultless, everything was perfect, from Salmon ice cream to Springbok. There are 10 tasting courses, created by artists, and changed on a regular basis.
We arrived at 7pm as guests, and left at 10.30pm as friends. Everyone applauded as the last dish was served.
Well done, Joburg, finally on the culinary map, and in the top 10 of best meals outside Europe.
