Have stayed in this hotel twice now (a week at a time) and found the staff to be brilliant, the rooms very good (a little quirky but nice), and the general service excellent.

Room: clean, neat, large
Service: excellent staff - will go out of their way to assist
Facilities: not great - they have a 'deal' (but not good) with a Virgin gym (great gym but expensive)
Food: very good in-room food thus far
Location: don't know, but for Melrose Arch, it's brilliant

I've enjoyed it. Recommend for business, definitely. The bar area is great.

I stayed here in October 2009. The staff were all very friendly and I found the rooms to be very very clean and had excellent facilities including DVD player, HI FI , TV.
The food in the hotel was excellent and there was a good choice for Breakfast.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a central base

The hotel is trying to be very modern. The corridors and shared areas, including lifts are very dark. If you have problems seeing or with mobility then you should avoid the hotel. The rooms have a shower only separated from the bed by a cheap shower curtain. The room layout has nothing where you would expect it to be. The restauarant is poor - I would recommend instead the coffee shop on the ground floor. The area is quite good with restauarants within easy reach of a good standard.

thoroughly enjoyed my stay - 2 nights. loved the funky decor and modern feel. Melrose Arch is a delighful and friendly little shopping mall with some great restuarants all within walking distance of the hotel. The ground floor cafe in the hotel was a pleasant place to sit and enjoy a coffee or lunch.
Would have been useful if had been given more information about the hotel facilities when I checked in, but i found my way around. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, better value breakfasts available in cafes in the mall.

Lovely brand new hotel in the impressive Melrose Arch residential and commercial development . Beautifully appointed with quirky yet tasteful interiors make this a cut above the average. Lovely breakfast also! But..and there is a big but - the superior ambiance of the bedroom is spoiled by the cheap inclusion of a shower and wash-basin virtually alongside the bed. In fact, you can almost lean out of bed and feel the shower spray. Hotels that cheapen their rooms by placing the shower or bath in full view of the bed really do seem trendy - but ultimately they are cheap. I would never stay here unless I was a single traveler. The flimsy and tacky hospital-bed curtain which supposedly protects the bedroom area from the shower is simply not enough for real privacy. And, its depressing. What a pity as the old movie decor and crystal lighting is so lovely. And, why put a see-thru plastic desk in the room - it's might look pretty, but no mouse will work on this surface! If you can get your laptop to work, there is some free (but limited) internet which is a big plus. A contradictory stay with much potential. Pity about the exposed shower.
