This is the second time I have been to EAT. Had a pleasant lunch both opting for the hake & chips that was really good with a great tartar sauce. Just one huge blunder by the kitchen, the really nice salad that came with the fish & chips was served on the same very hot plate. The cheese cake that we finished off with and the service were both very good. The prices are rather on the high side and I think this was the main reason why they were only 20% full on an end of month Saturday lunch

A great place for having a good, unpretentious meal, with relaxed service and atmosphere. A bit pricey but the quality of the food justifies it. Yummy!

The spitbraai ("fire-grilled") lamb was very enjoyable - tasty and a good variety at a good price.

The staff were friendly and quick to assist, without being a nuisance like some restaurants who don't give you a chance to swallow your food before asking how the food is - almost like they are anxious and need reassurance. Not so at Eat Bistro - far enough to not disturb but close enough to assist.

The wine selection - especially for people who prefer a wide selection of wines by the glass - is good and decently priced.

On the whole a good experience - allowing a good quality non-commercialized eating experience without leaving the neighborhood.

We had dinner at the Bistro and enjoyed every minute. The food was great, service good and I again realized why this one of my favorites.
