North Indian cuisine is what this little place is all about.
This little spot could be a Gold-Mine but ... if you want to sit in an up-market, more "restaurant feel" atmosphere, try The Classic India. (Personally, as long as the restaurant is clean and "fly-free", it's the food that counts but a warmer decor wouldn't hurt.)
Haveli's decor is very simple, the service good but staff can do with a little more training and people skills. Haveli's is more well known for it's Take Aways but just think what could be done with a little imagination?
Management is friendly but is more often than not focussed on sport that is shown on the TV above the door. Table visits are not regular but done.
Good selection on the menu though and pricing is good. Portions can be a little bigger and the Naan a little less crispy. Coriander & mint sauce is Great! (When one is sitting down for a meal, a nice touch would be a small Naan bread with a tomato cutney and/or the coriander & mint sauce?)
Little less onion in the Salsa and we're there!
Of late, even the Take Away portions have decreased. Not good at all from that point of view.
I love Haveli's but now is not the time to slack off. Thanks a million though for our introduction to North Indian Cuisine. When "eating out" is fast and uncluttered, we will be back, even though we've discovered The Classic India around the corner.
Come up guys - don't let what you've got, slip away.
