We were taken to Golden Gate National Park by my sister in law and hiked to the top of the Brandberg, what an experience! It is not an easy climb but well worth it both from the point of view of the exercise and the view from the top. There are various treks you can undertake but you must check in at the visitor centre first where the very friendly and helpful staff will give you a map and tell you everything you need to know. Then cross the road, go through the campsite and have the time of your lives. A drive through the part after our hike was another highlight and, while ther was not that much game, we saw zebras, wildebests, baboons and antelope of various types.
