They were blasting music the whole time and keeping you pumped while you were waiting for your turn.

My husband wanted to go and do his first bungy, and I thought, why not. He jumped first and after watching him, I had my doubts on jumping. Got on the bridge, the guys on the bridge helped ease any doubt with their smiles. These guys know what they are doing and I would recommend this for anyone. Thank you guys, I really enjoyed the jump.

Just decided to go and have a look.
On the way from George there is a toll way so expect to pay 38R twice if you turn around and go back to George.
You cannot see the bridge from the highway so tuning off is a great idea. It is amazing and a beautiful sight. It looks down to the ocean one way and the other a valley.
We didn't do the jump but you can go for a walk for 100R/person, so we chose to do that. Just keep in mind, that if you are not fit, that the walk back to the carpark from the bridge is a little steep I'd guess about 150m, but doable.
That is a little scary too especially if afraid of heights. You get to the bungy area by walking along a long metal cage walkway where you can see straight down to the valley floor. The disappointing thing is you can't take cameras. They say its a safety issue but I can't see how, the walkway is completely covered and if you happen to drop anything it will land on the valley floor.
The guide got set up and did a running start bungy, you see him run off and then you watch him on the tv screen for the rest of the fall.
Bridge not accessible for wheelchair but there is a ramp down to the viewing area for the bridge.
Well worth the walk if you don't want to bungy.

I had wanted to do the jump since arriving in africa!
when we acctually got there, seeing how high it was got me excited but very nervous!!
i had jumped out of a plane before but i was still very scared!

i paid (which i think was R75) Then we were all strapped up with our harness & given a number.
They take a large group of you over to the bridge at one time, i think there was about 50 of us doing the jump that day!!
you have to walk down a little trail before getting to the bridge, you then walk under the bridge, a mission alone! DONT LOOK DOWN! ...i did, made me get that funny butterfly feeling, underneath the bridge is a river & amazing scenory to be honest!
once you get to the platform under the bridge, the african guys start pumping the beats and get you all dancing & pumped up for jumping, its an amzing atmosphere, im getting goosebumps just writing about it!!

so you jump in order by your number, you can watch the other people jump too.
i think i had to wait around 20minutes before i jumped, my friend was last ...an hour wait she was crying bless her lol.

so they take photos & a video of you from when your number gets called. you can buy these afterwards photos were R100. And video was R150 i just got the video and its quite good quality,

i had a go pro but they said i couldnt take it on, bit pants but i understand obviously they want you to but your photos,
although i was annoyed when i saw a guys youtube vid of his jump with a go pro so maybe you can get round that? but they woudnt let me :(

so yeah... they tie your feet together, feels weird, then they make you hop towards the edge, you have about 5seconds of seeing how far it is with your toes on the edge....
before they say 3.....2.....1..... bungee!

and there is nothing like the feeling! its like your dropping forever, for no one whos ever bungeed or jumped out of a plane, its like the feeling you get on a rollercoaster but 10times bigger and longer!
then you dangly there for about 5minutes i think its normal to feel all the blood rushing to your head :/ lol

then a guy comes and gets you in the sitting position n gets you up, all the staff there were great they make it an better expirence too. so then you get to watch a few other people jump and then head back to the cafe where your friends or whoever you went with all wait,
theres also a tv in the cafe, so your friends/family will of watched you jump!!!

you also get to watch your video & see your pics before you decide to buy them.
hope this helps everyone,

''Fear lasts for seconds, regret lasts forever'' ...face adrenalin x

If you're going to watch bungey jumping then you might as well watch the tallest! Right! That's what I have done on five different occasions in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. Face Adrenalin gives enough rush that you can sit in the observation pub and squeal and gasp as though you were the one going off the bridge. Two times watching my son and a third time watching my younger daughter and a couple more times watching total strangers toss themselves off the 216 meter bungey jump on the Bloukrans Bridge. We're told the second drop is also taller than the next bungey in South Africa. So you can jump Face Adrenalin and in one throw do the tallest in the world and the next tallest in South Africa. Did I jump? You must be flippin' mad! I go to bungeys to watch! See if you can find many others who have watched the world's tallest bungey five times! On our next trip down the Garden Route to the Cape Winelands I'm sure we'll stop in and watch the nuts dive overboard again. (Notice I stop there on the way TO the Cape Winelands and not on the way home FROM the winelands. Check it out if you are a serious bungey watcher like myself!
