My son, 17 yrs, made the jump. It was very scary, for me, but the staff was very proffessional and the safety high. He was very pleased with his jumped and with the dvd and pictures that were made.

and I've done some scary stuff, let me tell you! There's nothing I won't eat, there's no neighborhood I won't visit and I've been scuba diving, cave diving, skydiving, speedboating, and I wrestled in college, studied Muay Thai in Thailand, worked as a law enforcement officer, and yet I never in my life was never so scared and so uncertain if I was going to complete something or not. The walk out to the bridge terrified me; you walk on a steel grate which is "spongy" (not by design) and when you look down, you truly realize how deep the gorge is. The guys who set you up are pros, and talk you through any misgivings. Plus it's great that most of the staff is from the local community -- definitely tip them. The guy who went ahead of me couldn't do it: he simply started shaking his head, and then started freaking out a bit (apparently about 20 percent don't jump). Once you get to the edge and you look over, you really start to feel queasy. The pumping hip hop music really just made me that more nervous, to be honest. I took a deep breath, closed my eyes and did some mindfulness meditation while holding the "Christ the Redeemer" pose, and then just dove. I screamed at the top of my lungs and then within about a second (it's a five second freefall to the end of the cord, and then.... Silence. Utter, complete and deliciously sublime silence. No noise whatsoever as you bounce up and down (80% reclaim rate of height after each bounce). It really clears your head and the few minutes you spend at the terminus of the jump are quite amazing as well, as you spin slowly and dangle upside down while viewing the Atlantic Ocean on one side and a beautiful mountain gorge on the other. Once you go back to the bar that overlooks the jump to get your celebratory beer or shot (damn, that tastes good, doesn't it?!), all sorts of spectators will sense that you just jumped, simply by the aura that you emit (or maybe it's the magic marker identification numbers on your hand). Either way, they will come over, and tremble as you recount how just moments before, you heroically conquered the WORLD'S HIGHEST BUNGEE JUMP! You gotta just do it!!!

Not as expensive as jumps in NZ for example, but not quite as professional either, sorry to say. Long wait on the bridge itself and in theory no personal cameras, although some in my party got away with it. Their photos and DVD are extra of course, but again not as good as others I have done. BUT it is the highest in the world however, so you must do it!

230m need you say more. I have bungeed before but it doesn't make it any easier. What a jump though facing into the valley before you jump then out towards the sea on your free fall. Guys in charge can't be faulted did everything to perfection. Is the zip line worth it, maybe so to get the adrenalin going and a lot less scary than the walk back. A must do on the route.
