“A nice surprise”
Reviewed March 5, 2009

My wife and I travelled to Kayenta for a business meeting outside Kayenta this February. We stayed at the Holiday Inn at Kayenta - just opposite was a shopping centre. We went to investigate the dinner options there and saw a little unobtrusive building advertising pizza. We went inside and found a very basic yet pleasantly surprising clean dining room. We didn't expect much from this place. The staff were friendly and helpful. I noticed all the customers, both the Indian population and the other races were all smiling and there was laughter there - obviously a tight-knit community. We sat down eating our pizzas - we chose the Supreme version. In all my time in the USA coming from Australia in 2006 I hadnt found pizzas as good as the Aussie versions. But I was surprised to find I was enjoying this pizza like no other - great base, great topping, cooked just right! It was then my wife said to me it was the best pizza she'd ever had! So I told her my thoughts and then we complimented the staff when we paid our bill, telling them how we had felt. The next morning on leaving town we chose to eat there again because of the previous nights eating enjoyment and were just as happy with our meal as the night before - except this time we finished it with an ice cream each too (I had bubblegum but on reflection would have preferred mint chip). I came upon this site while checking to see if there are other Pizza Edge stores here in Phoenix - we want to give them a try and see if they are as good as Kayenta. So finding this review possibility I thought for the first time in my life I'd write one. Enjoy the atmosphere and the food when you go there. Lyndon & Liz ..... Phoenix AZ

“Never judge a book by its cover”
Reviewed February 3, 2005

We stopped for lunch in Kayenta en route from the Canyon de Chelly to Monument Valley. The place looked closed from the outside, and we were about to drive off, when we noticed a neon light on. Even inside, the place was a little basic, but the pizzas were great. We selected our own toppings and chose the small pizzas. They were quite sufficient. After a while, the restaurant became fairly busy. It's obviously a popular place amongst locals.
