We went with Lloyd and Rob to catch some fish and see some wildlife. The guys couldn't have been more patient when teaching us how to fish, or more pleased for us when we did catch something. We had a great time. And Lloyd arranging for our catch to be cooked at the yacht club on our return to the harbour was the icing on the cake. A perfect way to end our trip. Thanks Lloyd.

An experience to recommand !!
Didn't meet any whales (too early in the season), but never saw so many dolphins: hundreds of them!
Appreciated the 'not touristic' aspect of the tour. This is pure research support, which makes it even more attractive...
And Lloyd broke his own record, as one of his passengers was ... 88 years old. She adored every minute of it!

Took a trip with Raggy Charters on 1st June 2013, unfortunately didn't see any whales but saw hundreds of dolphins which was amazing, the boat was surrounded by them! Had a great view of the penguins of Penguin Island from the boat too, with plenty of time to take all the photos we liked. Lloyd was very friendly too!

Having visited penguins in Antarctica and the Galapagos, we shared an exciting, informative and educational experience with Lloyd and Lorien visiting the penguin colony on St.Croix Island, where Lorien is scientist in charge of monitoring the local breeding activity, and Lloyd gets you there and back in good order, with yours and their safety the foremost concern. That does not preclude some exciting moments, which on our voyage including trailing dolphins and running into a school of sardines which enabled some good photo opportunities of ganets and penguins ... as he has done this before maybe were more than lucky and he put us in the right place at the right time!

These are good honest people who work hard at jobs they love and share their enthusiasm and knowledge with their guests. We were treated more than fairly with our arrangements and found the time together too short. This was a wonderful experience to begin our African Safari adventure. Should we safari again we will be sure to include another trip to St. Croix with Raggy Charters.

We took a trip with Raggy Charters on 23rd April. Having booked online in advance, Lloyd got in touch with me as the weather wasn't looking great for the day we had chosen. Lloyd kept in touch and after a phone call when we arrived in Port Elizabeth, the trip went ahead as planned.
We had a great time - we were the only tourists on the boat so we felt as though we had a real personal experience. Whilst heading out to the St Croix islands we received a call that whales had been seen in the bay that morning, so we took a slight detour trying to spot them, which we did a couple of times. It was great to get out to the islands and see the penguins, and as a bonus on the way back we also saw dolphins!
Lloyd was extremely knowledgable about the area and the marine life, and was a great host.
Would not hesitate to recommend Raggy Charters to anyone!
